By now all you guys must have got the good news about scraping of Section 377 by the Supreme Court. We are on the seventh cloud after this judgment that the Supreme Court took yesterday. It’s weekend already and if you want to celebrate this historic day, here are some movies that you can watch.

These movies perfectly showcase the love and struggle of the LGBTQIA+ community.
This movie released in 2015. It is a love story between an aspiring photographer and an elder woman in 50s.

Brokeback Mountain
This movie released back in 2005 and showcases the relationship between two cowboys and how the relationship is forbidden in the society.

Call Me By Your Name
This one is one of my favourite movies. It was released in 2017. The movie is set in the 80s and perfectly captures the relationship between a young boy and an older man.

Love, Simon
Love, Simon is available on Netflix. It was released in 2018. The story is about a boy named Simon who hides his sexuality from the world and from himself. But when the secret gets jeopardize, he has to face the truth and reveal it.

The Danish Girl
Released in 2015, The Danish Girl beautifully showcases the horrific side of the society and how they treat transgenders. The story is inspired by Danish artist Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener, who was married. And how Gerda learns about Lili’s journey as a transgender.

Blue Is The Warmest Color
Released in 2013, this movie is about a girl named Adele and her journey towards exploring her sexuality. Adele tries to date a few men but she isn’t interested in them. Then she meets Emma who helps her confront the truth and they grow fond of each other.

Let’s celebrate love today and try understanding people who are just as us. Let’s not spread hate and start understanding love. After all #LoveIsLove.
