After a lot of struggles and contradictions, the movie ‘Salute’s lead has been finalised and that is Shah Rukh Khan. Now, the struggle started about the female lead of the film.
According to reports, Bhumi Pednekar is now being suggested for the film opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rakesh Sharma’s biopic film Salute. Earlier, there were many reports which said that Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra and even Vaani Kapoor was recommended for the movie but now all those reports are no more near the film. Now it seems like Bhumi have been finally zeroed down for the female lead for the film.
Though the movie is about the inspirational story of Rakesh Sharma but astronaut’s relationship with his wife have a key part to play. Thus, the makers are taking a good amount of time on casting the female lead for the movie.
The sources say, “The makers met Bhumi Pednekar a few days ago to discuss the script. They haven’t yet locked her but she is one of their choices. The screen time for the female lead won’t be much in the biopic, hence none of the bigger actresses are taking it up anyway.”
People who are not aware, Rakesh Sharma was a former Indian Air Force pilot. He was the first Indian citizen to enter space in 1984.
Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy shooting ‘Zero’, and Shah Rukh will start prepping for ‘Salute’ in October. The shoot for the movie will begin from November as the actor will be busy promoting ‘Zero’.
