Neil Nitin Mukesh who has recently become the daddy of a baby girl had started his career with a grey character in ‘Johnny Gaddar’, post that he went on to star in many films that needed him to play similar characters. But, finally with Dassehra, Neil has shed his image to don the shoes of an honest cop. The first look poster of the film was released today and Neil looks fiery in it, the poster has a tagline written in Sanskrit that translates to “Unrighteous destructive sins or fears”.
According to the makers of the film: “The film is a political thriller based on a true story of crime and politics. The film evolves from the backdrop of a politically destabilised state which symbolises politician-mafia network, cunning politicians, and reckless criminals. It is the story of an honest cop who gets stuck in adverse circumstances.”
Interestingly, when Neil had made his debut, he was seen to be someone who will become a superstar but unfortunately his choice of scripts made his career fall flat. After a riveting ‘Johnny Gaddar’, he did a string of bad films like ‘Players’, ‘3G’, ‘Shortcut Romeo’ and others.
We hope that he bounces back with this film as he is a good actor, his performance in films like ‘Lafangey Parindey’ and ‘Jail’ was very good, all he need to do is focus on good scripts.
Dasshera also has Tina Desai and Govind Namdev in pivotal roles.
